Sofiyska Voda operated by Veolia observes a policy of maintaining safe working practices in all of our activities. We are developing a system in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Bulgaria, which aims to eliminate or minimize risk for all customers, employees, the community, and the environment. Health and safety are equally important to ant other quality measure in our activity. 

• We develop a system to maintain working placing health risk-free. We provide detailed information, instructions and training to our employees and contractors, because we want them to realize the responsibility and risks involved in their activity.
• Sofiyska Voda carries out regular consultations with its employees, commits all company levels and seeks cooperation in the formation of a positive occupational health and safety culture.
• Due to the specific company activity, personal protective equipment and protective clothing take into consideration the existing standards. Every year, safety audits are conducted in the directorates and departments, and H&S plans are prepared.  
• We aim to apply adequate management measures including Veolia standards for management of high-risk activities in order to limit to a minimum potential hazard to our employees in doing their responsibilities, our customer’s properties and the environment.  

Sofiyska Voda operated by Veolia has successfully introduced the ISO 45001:2018 standard. Тhe awarding of the certificate was on 7 July 2019.
